Not to Get Political... serves as the showcase of our graduating class of seniors majoring in studio art, art history and art education. The exhibition highlights challenging topics facing artists practicing their craft amid the contested cultural terrain of the 21st century, in which everything has become political. Through their work, the artists examine their relationships with the world around them through the lens of their own distinct experiences and identities. Not to Get Political... seeks to spark a dialogue between the artwork and the viewer. A wide array of media are featured in the gallery, from photography, painting and weaving, to sculptures made of fur, metal, silcone and resin. Also on display is the capstone research by our senior art history major.
