What if you could step away from the daily demands of leadership to pause and to reconnect with who you are when you’re at your best as a leader?
The Lead with Hope: Authentic Leadership Retreat is a 2.5-day retreat designed to help you pause, reflect and realign with your authentic self and strengths.
This retreat uses scientifically validated assessments, incorporates Hope College’s distinctive approach to leadership development and is guided by leading voices from the Hope community. You’ll explore the intersection of who you are, how you lead and the impact you’re called to make.
This isn’t another leadership training, it’s a retreat in the truest sense — a chance to:
- Discover your authentic leadership signature through the renowned Hogan assessments
- Reflect on your strengths, values and even your shadow sides in a supportive community
- Reconnect with your deeper purpose and calling as a leader
- Renew your energy and perspective for the leadership journey ahead
- Realign your daily leadership practice with your strengths alongside fresh strategies
Join a small cohort of fellow leaders for deep conversation, meaningful reflection and practical insights that will serve you long after you leave campus and help your team execute vision with greater clarity, engagement and results.

“The point is not to become a leader. The point is to become yourself, to use yourself completely – all your skills, gifts and energies – in order to make your vision manifest. You must withhold nothing. You must, in sum, become the person you started out to be and to enjoy the process of becoming.â€

- What is Authentic Leadership?
-
Authentic leadership is a leadership style grounded in self-awareness, ethical values and relational transparency, in which leaders act with integrity and openness. It involves taking purposeful action that aligns personal strengths with the needs of the context, fostering trust and credibility. Authentic leaders build genuine relationships and lead in a way that is both principled and responsive.
