鶹Ƶվ Department of Art & Art History and the De Pree Art Gallery announce the 2025 Hope College Alumni Art Exhibition i’m Still Here – which includes works from some of the most successful artists who have graduated from Hope College. The exhibition opens the week of One Big Weekend (Homecoming + Family Weekend) on October 10 and remains open until Nov. 6, at the De Pree Gallery on Hope’s campus in Holland.

On Friday, Oct. 17 at 4:30 p.m. in the gallery’s Cook Auditorium, exhibition juror Maddie Reyna will lead an alumni artist panel and Q&A session, which will be followed by an opening reception at 5:30 p.m. at the De Pree Gallery.

i’m Still Here brings 29 artists to showcase the creative achievements of Hope College alumni over the course of their careers: Richard Aardsma, John Andersen, Ann Arrasmith, Brianna Derfiny, Jacob Dombrowski, Wade Eldean, Bailey Ellens, Steven Haulenbeek, Jon Hook, Madeline King, Justin Korver, Jesse Koskey, Blake Johnson, Parker Johnson, Jo Locke, Karie Luidens, Maddie Nelson, Brianne Munch, Kelly Ocock, Mariah Pearl, Dylana R. Pinter, Alyssa Richards, Sarah Saddler Christian, Emily Schildhouse, Joel Schoon-Tanis, Anna Swartz, Monica Taylor, Heidi VanWieren and Amelia Volweiler-Stanley.

Exhibition Juror Maddie Reyna is the education director for Ox-Bow School of Art & Artists’ Residency in Saugatuck —the longest-running summer art school in the country. There, she curates and designs 50 intensive classes annually, integrating craft and concept in Ox-Bow’s distinctive academic approach. In her role, Reyna has cultivated connections with artists and faculty who have emerged from Hope College. Her curatorial focus centers on alternative and outsider modes of passion and originality—expressions that elude easy language, expand audience perceptions, and invigorate the practice of craft.
