Hope Rep Theatre presents “It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” Dec. 17-20
A beloved American holiday story will come to life onstage in downtown Holland for a fourth Christmas season when Hope Repertory Theatre presents “It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play” on Wednesday through Saturday, Dec. 17-20 at the Knickerbocker Theatre.
Hope College Senior Recognized With Social Science Undergraduate Award
Hope College congratulates one of its senior sociology and environmental science students — Sebastian Lema — for receiving the Social Sciences Undergraduate Conference Award from the Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR). Lema’s achievement highlights the value of student-faculty collaborative research experiences, which are distinctive at Hope College. Lema will present the research at the National CUR 2026 conference in Richmond, VA, next April.

Annual Hope College Juried Student Art Show Set for Nov. 14
The 2025 De Pree Gallery juried student show will take place on Friday, Nov. 14, at the De Pree Art and Art History Center. The annual show is open to the community and all Hope College students.
NEA Big Read Lakeshore to Feature Sci-Fi Screening of “Motherland”
鶹Ƶվ Markets & Morality program will host a free screening of the MPI Original feature film “Motherland” on Monday, November 17 at 7 p.m. in the Schaap Auditorium (lower level of the Bultman Student Center on Hope College’s campus).
Hope College Department of Theatre to Produce “Little Women: The Musical”
鶹Ƶվ Department of Theatre will present “Little Women: The Musical” on Nov. 14-15 and 20-22 at 7:30 p.m., along with a 2 p.m. matinee on Nov. 16. All performances will be held in the DeWitt Mainstage Theatre, located in the DeWitt Student & Cultural Center.
International Showcase Features 50 Hope Students in Skits, Song and Dance
A celebration of cultures from around the world will take place during 鶹Ƶվ’s annual “IMAGES: A Reflection of Cultures” showcase on Saturday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. at the Knickerbocker Theatre. The public is invited and admission is free.
Knickerbocker Theatre to Host Four Humphrey Bogart Films Beginning Nov. 10
鶹Ƶվ Knickerbocker Theatre will continue its Classic Film Series with four Humphrey Bogart classic films on consecutive Mondays. Focusing on his films from the 1950s, the series will feature the following films, all at 7 p.m.: Nov. 10: “The African Queen” Nov. 17: “In a Lonely Place” Nov. 24: “The Caine Mutiny” Dec. 1: “Sabrina”

The Knickerbocker Theatre at Hope College will host a special screening of the French animated film “The Most Precious of Cargoes” (La Plus Précieuse des marchandises) on Wednesday, Nov. 13 and Thursday, Nov. 14, at 7:00 p.m.

Hope Orchestra Celebrates Nicene Creed Anniversary During Nov. 7 Hymn-Sing Concert
As part of Hope College’s celebrations marking the 1,700th anniversary of the Nicene Creed, the Hope College Orchestra will present a special Hymn-Sing concert on Friday, Nov. 7, at 7 p.m. in the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts, Concert Hall. The public is invited. Admission is free.
The “Many Voices Project” to present a staged reading of “Walden”
鶹Ƶվ “Many Voices Project” will present a staged reading of “Walden” by Amy Berryman at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 30, in the Schaap Auditorium in the Bultman Student Center. This event is in collaboration with the Hope College’s Advocates for Sustainability (HAS), Green Hope and the Department of Theatre. The reading is free to attend, but seating is limited.
Hope College Presents Acclaimed Organist David Briggs on Nov. 04
Hope College will welcome world-renowned organist David Briggs for a recital on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, at 7 p.m. at the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts. The public is invited and admission is free. There will be a pre-concert lecture at 6 p.m. in the Howard Recital Hall.

This year’s 2025 Disability Inclusion & Affirming LGBTQ+ Student Lecture at Hope College will feature the documentary "Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution.” The film shares the insight, clarity, humor and beauty about the experiences of a group of disabled young people and their journey to activism and adulthood. The documentary is scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, at 3:30 p.m. in the concert hall of the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts. The public is invited and admission is free.

Building for the Future
Hope College will begin to construct a new, three-story academic building in downtown Holland, that will house its Department of Economics & Business and serve as a new innovation and gathering space for other college programs and community collaborations.
i’m Still Here Opens as Part of Hope College Alumni Art Exhibition
鶹Ƶվ Department of Art & Art History and the De Pree Art Gallery announce the 2025 Hope College Alumni Art Exhibition i’m Still Here – which includes works from some of the most successful artists who have graduated from Hope College. The exhibition opens the week of One Big Weekend (Homecoming + Family Weekend) on October 10 and remains open until Nov. 6, at the De Pree Gallery on Hope’s campus in Holland.
Hope Hosts Indigenous Peoples’ Lecture on Oct. 23
Carol Bremer-Bennett, executive director of World Renew, will present a lecture on “The Power We Carry: Belonging as a Sacred Responsibility,” as part of Hope College’s recognition of National Indigenous Peoples’ observances. The lecture will be held on Thursday, Oct. 23, at 3:30 p.m. in the recital hall of the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts. The public is invited and admission is free.
Hope College Danforth Lecture to Discuss the Forgiveness of King David
Special guest Dr. Gary Anderson from the University of Notre Dame will lead the lecture titled, “The Forgiveness of King David,” during the annual Hope College Danforth Lecture scheduled for Monday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m.
